It doesn't require any external forces: you control it all. No link-building. No marketing. No luck.

- Cookies for Comments (free alternative to Akismet/Comment spam) Google Analytics by Yoast (GA integration) W3 total cache (image compression/site speed)
- Revision Control (deletes extraneous revision files/site speed)
- Quick AdSense (easy, site-wide AdSense or other ad placement)
- All 404 redirect to homepage (404 control)
- Backup by BlogVault (paid, option) Thrive Content Builder (paid, optional)
- Thrive Leads (paid, voluntary)
On-Page SEO Best Practices
- 1000-10000 words (most if our articles are 1500-3000 words)
- Main keywords in the title and H1 tags. Secondary LSI keywords sprinkled throughout
- Main keyword in at least one alt tag. Keyword density: less than 1%
- Secondary LSI keywords in other alt tags
- 3-5 outbound links to highly relevant authority sites (e.g. Wikipedia)
- 5-10 internal links to other relevant pages -Dofollow
What about Affiliate links?
- No more than 1 per 100 words
- Do not cloak ( against Google's TOS)
- But you can and should use redirect with plugins like PrettyLink or ThirstyAffiliates
- Always no-follow
Other important on-page factors:

- Long, detailed content that is still readable
- Active tone and voice All links open in new windows (even internal)
